Megan Thee Stallion Doc Coming This Halloween

Megan Thee Stallion documentary will drop on October 31

Megan Thee Stallion fans will soon get a more in-depth look into the life and experiences of the popular female rapper by watching a new documentary, which is set to be released on the streamer Freeform this Halloween.

"Hot Girl Meg" will premiere on October 31

The documentary, Hot Girl Meg, will detail the rapper's life as she went from Tina Snow to becoming a Houston legend, and eventually to a global phenomenon who has won three Grammy Awards, beginning with her 2021 win for Best New Artist. The documentary, per a press release, "will chronicle her rise to fame, her commitment to her community, and her transformative journey of self-discovery."

Complex reports that Hot Girl Meg "combines archival footage, interviews with family and friends, performance clips and exclusive behind-the-scenes moments that provide a glimpse into the life of the iconic artist outside of the spotlight."

The documentary is directed by Nneka Onuorah, who has directed music videos for Cardi B and Lizzo, as well as an installment of the Netflix series "Rapture." The producer of the project is Meg's longtime manager T. Farris.

Megan Thee Stallion, born Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, was raised in Houston's South Park neighborhood. Her rap career began in 2016, and she went on to sign with 300 Entertainment in 2018. She has released two studio albums, Fever and Good News, as well as numerous singles, including "Savage," "WAP," and "Thot Shit."

In addition to her music career, Megan Thee Stallion is also known for her philanthropy. She has donated money to hurricane relief efforts, and she has spoken out against gun violence. She also recently announced the launch of her own foundation, The Pete and Thomas Foundation, which will provide financial assistance to women and children in Houston.

Hot Girl Meg is set to premiere on Freeform on October 31.
