Nolan Arenado Extends On-Base Streak

Nolan Arenado has extended his on-base streak to 23 games, the longest active streak in the MLB.

Arenado has been a key part of the Cardinals' success this season, batting .333 with 25 home runs and 80 RBIs.

Pablo López pitched seven strong innings and Trevor Larnach hit two home runs as the Minnesota Twins defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1.

López allowed only one run on four hits and struck out seven batters.

Larnach's home runs gave him 10 for the season.

Mike Yastrzemski hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to give the San Francisco Giants a 2-0 lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The home run was Yastrzemski's 15th of the season.

The Giants went on to win the game 4-2.

The St. Louis Cardinals will try to extend their three-game winning streak when they face the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday.

The Cardinals are 68-54 this season, while the Angels are 51-71.

The game will be played at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.

Lars Nootbaar and Masyn Winn each drove in two runs as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs 6-1 on Sunday.

Nootbaar hit a two-run double in the first inning and Winn added a two-run single in the fourth inning.

The Cardinals have won four of their last five games.
