DJ LeMahieu's Clutch Hit Wins It for the Yankees in Extras

Yanks Edge Out Orioles 2-1 in 10 Innings

LeMahieu's RBI Single in the 10th Proves to Be the Game-Winner

In a tightly contested battle, the New York Yankees managed to edge out the Baltimore Orioles 2-1 in 10 innings on Saturday night.

The game remained scoreless until the top of the 10th inning, when the Orioles took a 1-0 lead on a solo home run by Ryan Mountcastle.

Undeterred, the Yankees responded in the bottom of the inning. With runners on first and second, DJ LeMahieu came to the plate and ripped an opposite-field single to drive in both runners and give the Yankees the walk-off victory.

The win improves the Yankees' record to 8-5 on the season, while the Orioles fall to 5-8.

LeMahieu's clutch hit was the product of a patient approach at the plate. After falling behind 0-2 in the count, he worked the count to 3-2 before driving a 94 mph fastball into right field.

The Yankees will look to continue their winning ways when they host the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.
